FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County invites all San Antonio families to attend the “Trunk or Treat Spooktacular” at the United Way Eastside Family Resource Center on Saturday, October 26. Completely free to attend, the event will feature fun activities for all ages and a wealth of community resources that are designed to empower families and support their success.
Activities will include children’s activities, live music, a cupcake walk and much more. Families attending will also have access to a pumpkin patch and carnival games developed and hosted by Parent Advisory Committees. Families and their children are encouraged to attend in their Halloween costumes!

The United Way Eastside Family Resource Center is brought to the community by United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County in partnership with DePelchin Children’s Center. This Eastside Family Resource Center (FRC) is a community-based welcoming hub of support services and opportunities for families. Visitors to the Family Resource Center can always speak with a trained bilingual Family Support Specialist to navigate resources to adress challenges residents face including food insecurity, housing, childcare and education and much more. The Family Resource Center also offers a variety of basic necessities in their Family Care Closet, which is sponsored by Broadway Bank, a children’s book, a toy library and a kids corner which are all free to use and are available to the community.
